Superbowl Thoughts.
As you all know, I’m not a yank (thank heavens!). But I’ll just say, I enjoyed the superbowl for what is was. As someone who is more used to the constant non-stop play of AFL Football, it was a little boring stop startish for me, but that last exciting play certainly made the long sit worthwhile. It certainly was an entertainment specticle though with a ripper ending, but still reeked of style over substance. I also find it a bit arrogant to call a team the World Champions when your about the only bloody country that plays the sport professionally, but I digress.
As for those superbowl spots didn’t last long did they? No matter, here are some direct QT links in 1080p HD, they look stunning on a HD display, so long as your PC has the grunt.
Lewis Hamilton Is Champ…..maybe.

It’s early in the morning here and the F1 championship has been decided in quite exciting and controversial circumstances. I mentioned a while ago how I’m sick of committees deciding the results of races. Committees along with political correctness have made the world a worse place, not a better one. Considering how this race finished, it may happen again!
As F1 fans would know, Lewis only needed a fifth place to win it should Massa finish in first. That happened, but not without some scares. With about 6 laps to go, the rain came down, Lewis went in for rain tyres and then the rain stopped. Uh oh. Thanks to mother natures fickleness, Lewis was out of sorts as his tyres weren’t gripping. Vettel went past, Lewis went into sixth, a championship losing position.
This is where is gets interesting. With the championship lost, Lewis got fifth back when Jarno Trulli’s Timo Glocks car went 17 seconds slower on the last lap thanks to his not changing tyres, so a screw up on Toyota’s part handed the championship back to Hamilton as he passed Trulli Glock on the last turn!
So the question will most likely be asked, did the Toyota slow down deliberately or was it bad tyre choices? Methinks that a committee may have something to do in deciding this championship. I hope not, but they do have to justify themselves don’t they?
Oh, by the way. Channel 10. SCREW YOU! Why do you even deserve the rights to show F1 when you cut the telecast short to go to your rubbish 6am news service which no one watches, hosted by two muppets who have no personality, HUH?
Ugh.

Not Geelong Obviously!
So Geelong didn’t win the grand final. Okay, shit happens. But answer me the this. How the hell does the form team and the minor premiers of the competition these last two years kick 23 goddamn behinds in a grand final? 23 behinds is absolutely embarassing. Really, Hawthorn played pretty average, but they’re kicking between the sticks was straighter. 23 behinds, Shit.
Oh well, off to watch Ironman then!
Formula 1 Shits Me Sometimes!

Chaos at the Belgian GP
Some people will say that Formula 1 is a boring thing. An endless precession of cars just driving around in circles. But we all know that those people are pants on head retarded because they’re getting confused with that inbred hillbilly sport Nascar. Talk to anyone intelligent and they will tell you that Formula 1 is a more civilized sport with more civilized drivers and fans. Myself included!
Formula 1 certainly delivers some exciting action. The race at Spa was no different. In the closing laps the rain set in and cars were sliding everywhere. Raikonen and Hamilton were slip and sliding around one and other jostling for the lead. Finally at the end of it, Hamilton came out on top. But apparently he didn’t you see. Because the powers that be, have decided to give Hamilton a 25 second penalty for cutting a corner. What a load of crap, it makes a mockery of the race we’d just watched. Hamilton couldn’t avoid cutting the corner due to the rain. But he yielded to Raikonen, let him pass and then retook him again. That should have been that. Sadly it wasn’t. Thanks to the useless efforts of the F1 tribunal, they’ve decided to penalize Hamilton for doing what he’s supposed to do. RACE!
I’m just sick of a committees deciding the result of races when there was nothing that needed to be judged, just so they could justify their existence. Why do they even bother with the actual racing when the result is judged by a bunch of morons who sit in a office.
